  • Intro:

CSKA Moscow won 4-0 at Kuban Krasnodar on Sunday (20th April) to stay in touch with the top two in the Russian Premier League.

    Script:

Their grip on their Russian Premier League title may be weakening, but CSKA Moscow are determined not to give up without a fight as they took on Kuban Krasnodar.

Swiss striker Steven Zuber hit a 40th-minute opener for CSKA with this cool finish.

But less than two minutes later Lorenzo Melgarejo came agonisingly close to equalising for Kuban. His effort striking the post.

Instead of going into the break on level terms, Kuban found themselves two goals - and a man - down.

Roman Bugaev's clumsy challenge on Seydou Doumbia resulted in a red card and a penalty.

The Ivorian picked himself up to double CSKA's advantage from the penalty spot.

It was no contest in the second half for CSKA, Konstantin Bazelyuk making it 3-0 in the 49th minute.

A fourth and final goal arrived in the 66th minute, via Zoran Tosic to wrap up and emphatic win.

But with four games remaining - and a four-point deficit to claw back, CSKA seem unlikely to topple Zenit St. Petersburg from the apex of the Premier League.
