    Script:

Stanislas Wawrinka took on fellow Swiss Roger Feder in the final of the Mote Carlo Masters on Sunday, looking for a maiden victory in the competition.

Federer was hoping to secure one of only three Masters titles to have eluded him.

But Wawrinka took control from the second set tie-break.

Both players saved early break points, but it was Federer took the first set, serving impressively.

It had been a relatively flat performance from Wawrinka, but he began to find his range early in the second.

A Federer double fault gave Wawrinka an opportunity at 30-30 in game two and the Australian Open champion converted with some aggressive hitting, but Federer hit straight back with a break to love.

After play was briefly interrupted for rain, it came down to a tie-break, which Wawrinka dominated from the outset.

A heavy forehand from the third seed into the corner earned him an immediate break.

Wawrinka powered away, breaking for the third time in the match on his way to a 4-0 lead and sealing victory with a rasping forehand winner, to take the match 4-6 7-6 6-2 .

Mike Bryan became the first player to win 100 tour-level doubles titles after he and twin brother Bob triumphed at the Monte Carlo Country Club, captuing their 98th team title as they defeated Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.
