    Early semi-final action from the China Masters Grand Prix Gold badminton in Changzhou, China on Saturday (19th April).

    China's reigning Olympic men's singles champion Lin Dan is back in action this week at the China Masters Grand Prix Gold event in Changzhou.

    Lin faced top-seeded Wang Zhengming in Saturday's semi-final, winning five straight points to take the opener from Wang 21-19.

    Lin Dan never was troubled in the second game, and took the win 21-19, 21-12 to move into Sunday's final.

    Lin Dan will face compatriot Tian Houwei in an all-China men's singles final after the number two seed ousted Hong Kong's Wei Nan in straight games 21-15, 21-14.

    In mixed doubles, China's Lu Kai and Huang Yaqiong were taken to a third game by Malaysia's Tan Aik Quan and Lim Yin Loo. The Chinese duo move into the final with a 21-15, 17-21, 21-12 win.

    In men's doubles, Singapore's Danny Bawa Chrisnanta and Chayut Triyachart tried to fight back after dropping the opening game against top seeds Kang Jun and Cheng Liu of China. But the Chinese pair, closing out the match in two games 21-17, 21-17.

    In women's doubles, the Luo sisters Ying and Yu cruised into the final after ousting Japan's Ayane Kurihara and Naru Shinoya 21-13, 21-11.

    Singapore's Shinta Mulia Sari and Yao Lei will be the only non-Chinese players in action as the hosts try to sweep into all of Sunday's final places.
