There were fewer clear-cut chances after the break.

Another sweeping move from Zenit ended with Danny knocking in his 12th goal of the season and securing a vital 2-1 win for Zenit.

Andre Villas-Boas's men preserve their one-point advantage over Lokomotiv Moscow with just four games remaining.
