South Korean trio share lead in Hawaii

    A trio of South Koreans - Se Ri Pak, So Yeon Ryu and Hyo Joo Kim - shot opening rounds of four-under-par 68 on Wednesday, April 16th, to share the 18-hole lead at the LPGA Lotte Championship.

    A trio of South Koreans shot opening rounds of 68 on Wednesday, to share the lead at the LPGA Lotte Championship in Hawaii.

    So Yeon Ryu set the bar early in the day her a four-under-par round of 68.

    Elsewhere Hall of Famer Se Ri Pak made it to five under par with an eagle on the fifth hole, but a bogey on eight left her tied with Ryu at the top of the leaderboard.

    Like Pak, Hyo Joo Kim made it to five under before a late bogey saw her also card 68. Kim shared ninth place at this tournament last year and the promising 19 year old won the KLPGA Rookie of the Year in 2013,

    However Shot of the day was reserved for Michelle Wie who came centimeters away from a hole in one on the par-three 16th hole.
