Rennes beat Angers 3-2 in the French cup semi-final on Tuesday (15th April 2014).

    Script:

Stade Rennes beat Ligue 2 side Angers 3-2 in the semi-final of the French Cup on Tuesday.

But it was the visitors who took a shock early lead when Mohamed Yattare found the net with just two minutes on the clock.

The lead didn't last long though, some terrible defending allowed Ola Toivonen to stab home.

Nine minutes before the break 25 year old Kamil Gorsicki showed neat feet and composure inside the area, making it 2-1.

The game was effectively settled just after the restart, Jean Makoun's strike establishing a two goal advantage for Stade Rennes.

Yattare scored from the penalty spot with just two remaining, but it was too little, too late.

Stade Rennes will now face either Monaco or Guingamp at the Stade de France in the final of the competition.
