Pohang Steelers beat Cerezo Osaka 2-0 in Asian Champions League Group E in Japan on Wednesday.

The visitors scored the opening goal in the 23rd minute, Lee Myung-Joo tapping into an empty net.

And Kim Seung-dae doubled their advantage in the 65th minute, a result which sees them qualify for the next round of the competition.

Elsewhere in Group E Buriram United beat Shandong Luneng 1-0.

Kai Hirano scored the only goal of the game to give Buriram their first win of the AFC Champions League campaign.

Shandong Luneng had their chances in the second half but couldn't find the equalising goal.

Buriram are now level with Shandong and Cerezo Osaka on five points after five matches, the Thai outfit travel to Pohang Steelers next Wednesday.
