Script:
Seoul needed only a point against Asian Football Confederation Champions League Group F leaders Central Coast Mariners on Wednesday to overtake their Australian rivals.
The home fans inside the Central Coast Stadium knew the importance of this clash... and so did Seoul boss Yong-Soo Choi.
The South Koreans grabbed a last minute winner thanks to captain John Hutchinson's own goal.
Elsewhere in Group F, Beijing Guoan and Sanfrecce Hiroshima were just one point off second spot and were hoping to take advantage of the Mariners' slip-up.
Beijing scored the opener early in the second half before a moment of pure inspiration.
Joffre Guerrón played the ball into Shao Jiayi's feet and the China winger's deft backheel set-up Guerrón to make it 2-0.
But Naoki Ishihara pulled one back for Sanfrecce with 20 minutes to go and three minutes later...
Kohei Shimizu wriggled to the byline and squared the ball to Ishihara who completed the comeback.
