Swedish golfer Carin Koch was on Friday named as captain of Europe's 2015 Solheim Cup team.

"It's very exciting to be appointed the captain of course. I think it's going to be, or I know it's going to be a great event. The team are working hard to make it the best Solheim Cup ever, so it's just very exciting to be a part of.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Carin Koch on being asked about extra workload:

"I know it's a lot of work to be a captain, I was vice-captain in 2013, there was not much work then but I know that Lotte (Liselotte Neumann, european captain 2013) who was captain then did a lot of work leading up to the event and so it's something you're not used to, a bit out of the box but we've got to do that, right, we've got to take those challenges and enjoy it."
