Switzerland's Fabian Cancellara won a sprint finish against three Belgian riders to pick up his third Tour de Flanders title on Sunday.

This was a very eventful Tour of Flanders in Belgium.

It would end with a thrilling sprint finish but there were plenty of riders who would struggle to get there, the likes of Luke Durbridge and Johan van Summeren among those who hit the floor. Some riders even ended up in ditches.

By the end of the race over tarmac and cobbles there were four riders in contention, Greg Van Avermaet, Sven Vanmarcke and Stijn Vandenbergh had the home support but it was Switzerland's Fabian Cancellara who crossed first to defend his title. Cancellara is now one of just five riders to have won the race three times.
