For many this was the perfect end to the India Open, first v second seed met in the men's final.

Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei would make it much shorter than those watching would have hoped with quality shots like this.

He won the first game against China's Chen Long 21-13, Chen offered more in the second game and led for parts of it but Lee was just too good.

He wrestled back control of the game and had match point at 20-17, which he cooly won.

The trophy will stay with him for another year.

The all-Chinese women's singles was much closer but also won in just two games, Wang Shixian beat Li Xuerui 22-20, 21-19.

A stunning run of 13 points from the last 16 helped China's Tang Yuanting and Yu Yang win the women's doubles.

In the men's Denmark's Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen came from one game down to beat defending champions Liu Xiaolong and Qui Zihan.

And it was a Danish pair who won the mixed doubles, Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen beat South Korea's Ko Sung-hyun and Kim Ha-na in three games.
