SNTV spoke to Graeme Smith at the Oval in South London on Thursday about retiring from international cricket and his relationship with new team mate Kevin Pietersen.

"It's solid, I mean obviously we don't spend a big amount of time together, we're in different parts of the world but communication is good, we chat and catch up whenever we're in the same place. I think a lot of that stuff happened as young guys and obviously grew in the media, grew in the fanfare and probably didn't ever reach the point that it was made out to be. It was competitive on the field, we both wanted to win and it's nice now that we can have a beer and laugh over some of the stupid things we did as youngsters."
