    Script:

To be an extreme speed skier you need to be brave - that's for sure.

But you also need plenty of talent to fly down a slope from an altitude of 2,715 metres, in an attempt to break your own speed record of 251.4 km/h.

Luckily, for world record holder Simone Origone, he's both daring and extremely talented at his discipline.

And with perfect conditions on the run in Chabrieres, France, the Italian managed to break his previous record from 2006 with a new fastest speed of 252.4 km/h.

Origone tackling the Chabrieres slope, which measured 1,220-metres and had a maximum gradient of 98 percent, with relative ease.

The world's fastest speed skier looking understandably delighted with another world record.
