New Zealand teenager leads Founders Cup

Monday, March 24 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Lydia Ko holds a one-shot lead going into the final day of the LPGA Founders Cup at the Wildfire Golf Club in Phoenix.

    Script:

New Zealand teenager Lydia Ko went on to make a birdie on this hole that helps her go into the final day of the Founders Cup 16 under and with a one shot lead.
So a thumbs up from her and Jessica Korda will be pretty happy too. she is joint second on 15 under thanks to her own great work off the tee in Phoenix.
Mirim Lee is also just one shot off the lead but her day was not one of celebration, she shot 70 to lose her overnight advantage.
Chella Choi was having a pretty average round too until her last shot, an eagle on the 18th meant she carded a 68 and is just three off the lead.
There were 64s from Paula Creamer and Azahara Munoz which keeps them in the mix.
Do not write off Christie Kerr, she only just made the cut but played the round of the day, her nine-under 63 brings her to within five shots of Ko. There is around a dozen players who can win this, it is set up perfectly for day four.
