  • Intro:

English teenager Charley Hull has won the Lalla Meryem Cup in Agadir, Morocco.

She took her first title on the Ladies European Tour following a playoff against Gwladys Nocera of France.

    Script:

A dramatic conclusion to the Lalla Meryem Cup in Agadir, Morocco.

England's Hannah Burke and South Africa's Lee-Anne Pace began the day down in eighth place, but both carded five under par 66s to stand tied at ten under par overall, in a share of fourth.

France's Sophie Giquel-Bettan couldn't gain ground on compatriot Gwladys Nocera, shooting a final round 69 to finish on eleven under par.

Nocera surged ahead, going out in 33 - three under par - and added two more birdies at the 12th and 13th to go to 16 under par for the tournament.

But then came a dropped shot at the eighteenth and she had to settle for a round of 67.

English teenager Charley Hull was five shots off the lead at the start of round four, but four birdies and an eagle at the 6th took her out in 30.

Another birdie arrived at the 11th and two more at the 16th and 17th - in the end Hull returned a nine under par 62 - the best round of the week, and of her career - and at 15-under, she was waiting for Nocera to close out her victory.

That dropped shot by Nocera forced a play-off.

Back on the 18th again, Hull hit her tee shot to within four feet of the flag, while Nocera put hers 15 feet short.

After the Frenchwoman's first putt drifted to the right of the hole and she tapped in for a par, Hull rolled her ball into the hole.

That was the cue for jubilant scenes on the 18th green, where her caddie was lifted aloft as was her father.

The win caps a sensational 12 months for Hull, who turns eighteen on March 20th.

She is the youngest ever player in the Solheim Cup, a member of the winning team in Colorado and the LET's Rolex Rookie of the Year.

Now this, her first Ladies European Tour victory.
