Freund wins in Oslo as Stoch extends overall World Cup lead

    Severin Freund won the World Cup ski-jump in Oslo but double Olympic champion Kamil Stoch is well ahead in the FIS standings.

    This event was held in Norway but thousands of Polish fans made double Olympic champion Kamil Stoch feel right at home in Oslo.

    Stoch finished third here to add another 245.4 points to his overall Ski-Jump World Cup tally.

    He ended the day 168 points clear of his nearest challenger, Peter Prevc, the Slovenian's title challenge is fading badly, he was points leader just weeks ago but his jumping here highlighted his dip in form.

    Norwegian Anders Bardal's 127 metre jump took him past Stoch but the home crowd would have to settle for second.

    The winner was Germany's Severin Freund, who lept 132.0 metres to open and then 130.5 to earn 265.4 points. He is still in with a chance of the overall title but it's Stoch's to lose...
