Felix Neureuther put the disappointment of the Olympic games behind him by winning in Slovenia on Sunday. The injured Neureuther failed to win any medals in Sochi after crashing his car on the way to Munich Airport where he was due to catch a flight to the games.
Here he clocked a combined two-run time of one minute 45.50 seconds to win the slalom and go top of the FIS World Rankings.
He took the lead from Fritz Dopfer who finished 0.59 seconds slower. He held onto second place though for a German 1-2.
Norwegian teenager Henrik Kristoffersen came in third, two tenths of a second behind Dopfer.
Austria's Mario Matt will be left thinking what might have been having led after the first run only for this to happen in his next run.
It was a mixed day for Marcel Hirscher, whose fifth place finish meant he gave up his number one slalom spot to Neureuther but went top of the overall standings ahead of next week's World Cup finals,
