Oscar Pistorius held his heads in his hands in court on Thursday as his neighbour recounted the moments after he found Reeva Steenkamp shot in Pistorius' home.

    Script:

Oscar Pistorius arrived back at Pretoria Supreme Court on Thursday, for the fourth day of his murder trial.

The athlete is charged with premeditated murder after shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his Pretoria townhouse on February the 14th last year.

Witness Dr Johan Stipp was giving evidence after he rushed to Pistorius' house to see if he could help.

UPSOUND: (English) Johan Stipp, witness, doctor and Oscar Pistorius' neighbour, off camera:

"As I approached the lady there was a man on his knees on her left side. He had his left hand on her right groin and his right hand, second and third fingers, in her mouth. And I remember the first thing he said when I got there was that, he said 'I shot her. I thought she was a burglar and I shot her."

As Stipp continued to describe the scene, Pistorius could be seen crying while holding his head in his hands.

The doctor said he tried to help Reeva Steenkamp, but could see no signs of life.

The double amputee denies intentionally killing her, saying he mistook the 29-year-old model for an intruder.
