Australian veteran Karrie Webb retains her lead at the HSBC Champions 2014 after she shot 3-under 69 in the second round on Friday (28 February) at Sentosa Golf Club, The Serapong Course, Singapore.

The second round of the HSBC Women's Open took place on Friday at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore.

Anna Nordqvist, winner of the LPGA Thailand last week, climbed up the leaderboard after she carded an impressive 5-under 67.

But it was Susann Petterson took the plaudits for putt of the day, with an eagle at par 5 hole 18. Petterson finished with a 3-under par.

Elsewere Angela Standford carded a 3-under 69.

Overnight leader Karrie Webb got off to a tricky start with a bogey at the first, but quickly redeemed the situation with a birdie on three.

That proved to be the pattern of the day for the Australian, with six birdies in a three under par 69. Webb finished with a two round total of 135 and a two shot lead at the halfway point in the tournament.
