"The Games in Tokyo in 2020 will not be an experiment. They know how to do things, how to organize and they will do a great job. I would say the same about Oslo 2022, that this is a good and a safe place, that everybody knows that the Games will be a success, and that would benefit the image of the Olympic movement also, in my opinion. We need to do some experiments from time to time but we also need a safe and good place. That would have been the case in Switzerland, in Germany, in Sweden, and hopefully it will also be the same way in Norway in 2022."
SOUNDBITE: (English), Bjorn Daehlie, former Norwegian Olympic medallist
"When you are an athlete, racing is of course about winning, but the Olympic Games are much more, it's about being part of a bigger picture, about having great experiences to be remembered for the rest of your life. This is my wish for the Games in Oslo in 2022, I am sure this will be the atmosphere of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Norway. We are also crazy about winter sports, as you all know, in Norway. And I would like the athletes of the world to share that experience. It will be great to welcome all athletes from all over the world to Oslo in 2022."
