  • Intro:

Atlanta Hawks guard-forward Kyle Korver said on Wednesday that smashing Dana Barros' NBA record of 89 consecutive games with a three-pointer is 'very special'. The 32-year-old's record streak is at 107 games, and he is averaging 12.4 points per game. The Hawks play the Brooklyn Nets in a NBA regular-season clash at The O2 in London on 16 January.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Atlanta Hawks shooting guard Kyle Korver (asked if he would resent London if his three-pointer scoring streak came to an end there):
"Probably. No, I wouldn't. Well I'll just try to not let that happen, you know. Just try and make the shots that you get, that's my approach every night and try and make that first one, if you don't, try to make the second one, you know. But, you know, it's been a cool thing to be a part of. Anytime you have an opportunity to be a part of an NBA record it's an honour, it's a very cool thing. The NBA; we've prided ourselves on being an amazing basketball league and there have been so many incredible basketball players who have come through over the years and to hold a record is a very special thing."
