The Czech Republic's Eva Samková raced to first spot at the women's FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup final in Andorra on Sunday.

This victory for the mother of four comes on the back of six wins last year out of a maximum 21.

The Pyrenees mountains was the backdrop as the current World Cup leader Dominique Maltais turned white when she had to settle for second place.

The 2006 Olympic Bronze medalist will be doubly disappointed after the Canadian won yesterday's race.

Lindsey Jacobellis of the United States was 400 points off the lead and claimed the last podium position.

The 2011 Olympic silver medalist has made 57 career starts at the FIS World Cup since 2003, with 26 wins and 36 career podiums.

The Snowboard Cross World Cup takes almost a two month break, due to the forthcoming Sochi Winter Olympic Games in Russia, and will resume at the beginning of March.
