The big final of the men's FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup began on Sunday in the Andorran Pyrenees mountains.

Italian Omar Visintin took first place with 1,000 race points.

This was only the 25-year-old's second career win. Visintin's victory in the last pre-Olympic race moved him to the top of the snowboard table with 2,426 points.

Fifth in the overall standings is Lucas Eguibar, who finished runner-up in Andorra with 800 points. This is the Spaniard's best ever result in his career.

Luca Matteotti completed an Italian double by taking third spot with 600 points.

This is only his third ever top three finish, a feat he has waited more than three years to achieve.

Matteotti sits in 12th-place in the leaderboard.
