St. Moritz staged the fifth round of the FIBT World Cup bobsleigh season on Saturday.

Kaillie Humphries sat down in 10th place after an average first run.

However, the Canadian and team-mate Heather Moyse clocked one minute, 08.15 seconds for their second run.

Humphries' combined mark of two minute, 16.96 seconds proved to be enough as the following nine pairs failed to better it.

Cathleen Martini and Christin Senkel took second for Germany - 0.18-of-second off the pace - with home duo Fabienne Meyer and Tanja Mayer completing the podium places.
Victory lifted Humphries to the top of the season standings, 29 points ahead of American Elana Meyers, who finished the day's bob in joint-12th place.

In the men's bob, Alexander Zubkov and Alexey Voevoda clocked the fourth fastest time in the first run and moved into the provisional lead.

The Russians were displaced by crowd favourites Beat Hefti and Alex Baumann.

Second in the first run, the Swiss pair edged ahead with a combined mark of two minutes, 13.40 seconds.

First run leaders Francesco Friedrich and Jannis Baecker were unable to reclaim first place and had to settle for third place behind Zubkov in second, with Hefti clinching a second successive World Cup win.
