Zinedine Zidane brings French World Cup winners of 1998 to Rodez in a bid to aid the club's ailing finances.

Script:

Rodez Football Club of France is struggling in the fourth division and close to bankruptcy.

But unlike other clubs facing a similar predicament, the team have a very famous face to call upon.

Real Madrid's Director of football Zinedine Zidane is married to a woman from Rodez and his in-laws came to him to ask for his help to try and save the club.

The former midfielder agreed and is investing money in the club, bringing in new partners and using his fame to bring attention and boost ticket sales.

One initiative he came up with was inviting stars from the French World Cup winners team of 1998 to play Rodez in an exhibition game to raise money for both the club and charity.

The club usually gets 800 supporters for its home games - this time 8000 paid to see 9 of the '98 'dream team' back on the pitch.

Two of the players managed to play the whole 90 minutes including Zidane and Bixente Lizarazu.

The formidable defense of Laurent Blanc and Lizarazu has not withstood the test of time though as they let 5 goals get past them - in a 5-5 draw.

Fabien Barthez also returned but upfront not in goal where he even managed to score a penalty.
