Former NBA player Tracy McGrady said he is enjoying his experience in the Chinese basketball Association league (CBA), despite a no-win start to the season for the Qingdao Eagles, who he joined in October.

"Yes, CBA has been fun, it has been more than what I expected. You know, the competition has been good, everything about it has been good. I thought the travel was going to be kind of tough, but that hasn't been that bad at all. You know, it has been warm welcoming, every city that I have been going to and that is enjoying to see. You know, so far so good, my journey has been pretty good."

"I didn't expect to come here and win a championship in the first year, and just be a great team. You know, I didn't know my Chinese players and they hadn't played with me and know what I am about. So it's kind of tough just put the team together on a flight that you know really hadn't played together. So it's challenging and we are whole going to do it together, you know somehow, somewhat we are going to dig out of it."

"I am just trying to give back my experience and help these guys to become better basketball players. You know, I am not trying to come over here and you know, lead the CBA scoring, I am not trying to do what I once did in NBA and that's not what I am here for. I am actually to help these guys to become better basketball players. I am doing a lot of teaching and help them to understand how to approach the games, help them to understand angles in a game and in a defence side, understand on-court of execution taking care of basketball. Just a lot of things that I have learned from my career in the NBA, I just want, you know, kind of give back to these guys."
