German side Schalke held their pre-match press conference on Monday (5th November) as they look for their second UEFA Champions League win in a row against English club Arsenal in Group B.

    Script:

Schalke ended Arsenal's 45-match unbeaten home record against foreign opposition in the UEFA Champions League with a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on October 24th, and currently are preparing to face them for the second time in two weeks.

Arsenal are struggling with injuries and a lack of form, but Schalke boss Huub Stevens' is keen to simply concentrate on his own team ahead of the big match.

"We will play a game, ninety minutes, maybe a bit longer. I don't know how Arsenal is going to play, I don't know who is injured in their team, so I am just thinking about ourselves and it will be a surprise for everybody how we will be playing."

A win for Schalke would put them four points clear at the top of Group B, with two group matches remaining. However Lewis Holtby, who incidently has an English Father, is wary of Arsenal's class.

"Well today I saw the statistics that since 1994 I think is not the best start, but they are a great team, Arsenal. They know how to play, when you see the first fifteen minutes, how they put us under pressure, we weren't there on the pitch in the first leg. Yeah of course they have a good young team, quality team and we're prepared, you know, we have to be focused, we have to concentrate on our game for ninety minutes plus added time and yeah we should show them that we are at home, you know, we have fifty-five thousand people here at least and we should have a great game."

Both sides go into the game on the back of league defeats, and will be hoping to return to winning ways on Tuesday night.
