The Russian national ice hockey team were in Moscow on Tuesday (May 29) to celebrate their victory in the 76th International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship.
The team's players - including NFL star Alexander Ovechkin, travelled across the centre of the Russian capital on a double-decker bus holding aloft the Championship Cup all the way to the central Manezhnaya Square.
Thousands cheered the team as they paraded the silverware through the streets of the capital, and Ovechkin said it was important to celebrate this triumph with the people.
SOUNDBITE: (Russian) Alexander Ovechkin, ice hockey player:
"I think that all those fans who came to this place are satisfied and glad. I think that it is right that we organised this celebration. It is a celebration for us too."
The party ended with a concert on a square located not far from Red Square.
