The 'London Prepares' series of 2012 Olympic test events continues with this week's ISSF Shooting World Cup, which is being held at the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich.
Team GB's Peter Wilson is among the favourites.
The 25-year-old starts the event as the world number one and world-record holder in the double-trap. And he's looking forward to having the home crowd on side.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Peter Wilson, Great Britain shooting team:
"I think the intimacy between the crowd, which is the grandstand, and the shooters, is important, and I think that can only bring positive vibes to me, standing there with a British crowd, is going to be incredible, (or) with a majority British crowd, and then obviously you've got the background, which is the huge green netting. It's about 30 metres high, and that's second to none. I've never seen a background quite like that before, and that's there to catch the lead and also give us better visibility. So it's pretty incredible."
Britain haven't won a shooting medal at the Olympics since Richard Faulds took gold at Sydney in 2000.
But Wilson smashed the world record on his way to victory in the Shotgun World Cup in Tucson, Arizona, in March.
So GB hopes are resting on the farmer's son from Dorset.
