    Chen Jin of China defeated former champion Nguyen Tien Minh of Vietnam in two straight games, 21-11, 21-12 to win the men's singles title of the Australian Open badminton tournament on Sunday and seal a spot in this year's Olympic Games.

    In the women's singles final, unseeded and 92nd-ranked Han Li won her first career title when she upset fifth-seeded South Korean Bae Youn Joo in straight games 21-13, 21-14.

    The Australian Open badminton tournament finals on Sunday and China's Chen Jin defeated former champion Nguyen Tien Minh 21-11, 21-12 in the men's singles.

    Sealing him a spot in this year's Olympic Games.

    Over to the women's singles final,and unseeded Han Li won her first career title when she upset fifth-seeded South Korean Bae Youn Joo 21-13, 21-14.

    In the mixed doubles Taiwan's Hung Ling Chen and Wen Hsing Cheng took on Malaysia's Peng Soon Chan and Liu Ying Goh.

    After splitting the first two games, it was the Taiwanese pair that kept their nerves, Cheng finishing the match with a forehand smash.

    Final score 22-20, 12-21, 23-2.

    Cheng didn't have much time to rest as she was back on court with her partner Yu Chin Chieh in the women's doubles final.

    She wasn't able to claim a second victory though as Chinese twin sisters Ying Luo and Yu Luo took the match 12-21, 21-18, 21-17.

    Meanwhile Indonesia's Markus Kido and Hendry Setiawan took the men's doubles title, beating Taiwan's Chieh Min Fang and Sheng Mu 21-16, 21-15.
