Intro:

A stray cat got the fright of its life after running onto a basketball court and getting chased away by a giant dog.

The cat interrupted the match in Israel between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Bnei Hasharon.

Script:

It's every basketball players worst nightmare - you're down by one. Five seconds left in the fourth quarter. And then...

... A cat appears on court.

Luckily for Maccabi Tel Aviv, their mascot happens to be a dog!

Cue comedy gold as the oversized mut made a cartoon leap for the ivading moggy, only to... Well.... Make a dog's dinner of it.

The evasive cat was Bambi-esque on the slippery court, but still outwitted this dumb dog. Hardly surprising, given it is a man wearing a novelty suit.

Despite his failure, the mascot dusted himself with a nice little jig. What a pro!
