  • With temperatures in Moscow a chilly 4 degrees C, it's no wonder the Manchester City subs are wrapped up as snug as a bug in a rug
  • However manager Manuel Pellegrini, right, and his assistant Ruben Cousillas are made of sterner stuff
  • It's honours even for the first half an hour, as demonstrated by Georgi Milanov and Jesús Navas' battle for the ball, and then the home side take the lead. Keisuke Honda wins a header against Javi García after a clearance from Igor Akinfeev and nods it into the area. Joe Hart comes out to grab it, gets nowhere near and Zoran Tosic chips it over him
  • Almost immediately City go on the attack. Aleksander Kolorov finds David Silva, who runs into the left hand side of the box. He crosses to Sergio Agüero on the penalty spot and he scrambles it home
  • Sergio Agüero is still causing problems for CSKA Moscow, and in particular Aleksei Berezutski. The brace that he bagged in the first half makes it six goals in seven games for the City striker
  • A deft piece of control from Keisuke Honda as the home side attempt to get back in the game. With ten minutes to go they think they are when Honda lofts a ball into the box and Yaya Touré stoops to get his head to it to clear. It falls to Musa, though, who unleashes an absolute screamer from the edge of the box and into the top of the net. The referee blows his whistle, though, because he believed a high foot had nearly connected with Touré's head
  • Deep in injury time CSKA clip the ball to Honda at the far post - amid much defensive chaos - and he smashes the ball at goal. Only a very good save by Joe Hart with his left calf prevents the equaliser. At the whistle every single City player rushes to Joe Hart to congratulate him. A good win by City means they go level with Bayern at the top of the group table. Final score: CSKA Moscow 1-2 Manchester City
  • Three minutes before half-time that man Agüero pops up again to give City the lead. Navas wins a throw-in on the right hand side of the pitch, deep in CSKA's half. The ball is worked to Alvaro Negredo and he chips the ball up in the air and across the box. Agüero simply nods it home from six yards. Half-time: CSKA Moscow 1-2 Manchester City
