Tottenham chief Daniel Levy makes Harry Kane to Manchester United transfer decision

Manchester United may have to look elsewhere if the latest reports on Harry Kane are to be believed.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will not sell Harry Kane to another Premier League club, according to reports. Manchester United are long-term admirers of Kane and are in the market for a striker. Manchester City are also linked with the England captain as they begin to plan for life without Sergio Aguero.

Kane still has over three years remaining on his Spurs contract.

However, the 27-year-old was non-committal over his future last week when asked if he would need to leave the north London club in order to win major silverware.

Kane is yet to win a trophy in his career, with Spurs last tasting success in that regard in 2008.

Despite remaining loyal to Tottenham, Kane has not hidden the idea that moving to another club at some point would appeal to him.

But the Manchester Evening News claim Spurs will not allow their talisman to move to a team in England.

Senior figures at Tottenham say there is 'no chance' of a transfer to either United or City.

Barcelona have been linked with Kane in recent days, though the report says the financial situation at the Nou Camp all but rules them out.

The two Manchester clubs are also interested in Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland, but are set to face strong competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Barca and Chelsea.

Kane is the joint-top goalscorer in the Premier League this season, with 17 goals to his name.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has the same view that it looks unlikely for Kane to leave Spurs this summer.

And he says discussions over an extension to his contract is on the horizon.

"I think it’s difficult to see Harry Kane out of Tottenham," Romano told GiveMeSport.

"I know what he said in the last interviews and obviously we are in March so at the moment there is nothing advanced, but what I’m told is that Tottenham are planning with Harry Kane as part of the team.

"They want to discuss about his contract in the coming months and let’s see when they will decide to do it but they’re planning with him so at the moment there is nothing advanced with other clubs and they’re happy with Harry Kane so let’s see what he will decide.

"And remember that it’s really, really difficult always to negotiate with Daniel Levy when we’re talking about normal players or small players, not for a top, top player like Harry Kane.
