Cristiano Ronaldo on his son: We'll see if he becomes a footballer, he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta...

Being the son of one of sport's greatest athletes is a privilege, but it also brings pressure. Just ask Cristiano Ronaldo's son, Cristiano Jr.

The Juventus forward takes tremendous care of his body and, as such, he tries to ensure that his 10-year-old does not fall into any bad habits in terms of his diet. However, he did note that Cristiano Jr. enjoys fizzy drinks and snacks.

"We'll see if my son will become a great footballer, he's not there yet," Cristiano said at the Global Soccer Awards ceremony.

"Sometimes he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta and eats crisps, and he knows I don't like it.

"Sometimes I tell my son to take a dip in cold water to recover after a run on the treadmill and he says, 'Dad, it's so cold there.' It's normal, he's 10 years old."

That said, Cristiano acknowledges that his son has talent when it comes to football.

"He has potential, he is great, he is fast and dribbles well, but that is not all," Cristiano explained.

"This requires a lot of dedication and hard work. I am not going to pressure him, but if you ask me if I would like him to be [a footballer]... of course I would. However, I want the best for him, whether he is a footballer or a doctor."
