Cristiano Ronaldo Jr's Reaction To His Father Saying He Wants

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr had a priceless reaction to his father claiming he wants to 'look like him' in the future.

Portugese superstar Ronaldo was honoured at the Globe Soccer Awards on Sunday, being named 'Player of the Century'.

He gave a speech after accepting the award and made special mention of his 10-year-old son, who couldn't help but give a wry smile.

Ronaldo Sr explained per Daily Star: "When you love the kids and they want to be like you, they cut their hair like me, do skills like me, everything.

"I see my son, look, he's 10 years old and he wants to look like me. You have a long way to do it - to be like your father but it's a pleasure. The future is the kids.

"I have four and I wish them all the best and when I see the kids, for example now in Dubai, they come to run with me they turn and say 'Siiii.'

"It makes me happy because they recognise my effort, my dedication, my hard work and I'm proud when you see stuff like that.

"This gives me the motivation to carry on and continue to do my job and play football and enjoy the fans and everyone."

Ronaldo Jr plays in the Juventus academyand has been tipped to one day be a professional footballer.

When asked about his son's chances of reaching the top, Ronaldo said: "Not yet. I'm hard with him sometimes because he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta sometimes and I'm pi**ed with him.

"I fight with him when he eats chips and fries and everything, he knows I don't like it.

"Even my small kids, when they eat chocolate they always look to me and, you know, we have to be strong.

"But to be honest he has potential, he is a big boy, he's fast and he's driven well. But this, I tell him every time, it takes a lot of dedication, a lot of hard work.

"Sometimes when we're at home I say 'go to the treadmill to run a bit' and after the treadmill I say 'now go to the cold water to recover to do it tomorrow again,' and it's 'daddy, it's so cold the water I don't want to do it.'
"But I understand it, he's only 10-years-old, it's up to him, I'm not gonna push nothing for him to be a football player.

"If you ask me if I want, yes I want, but he's gonna be whatever he wants.

"If he wants to be a doctor or, I just want him thinking 'I've got to be the best.'"
