Juventus want to bring Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba back to Turin.

Juventus have reportedly opened talks with Mino Raiola as they look to re-sign Paul Pogba. The Italian giants sold the midfielder back to Manchester United in 2016 for a fee of £89million and now the World Cup winner is keen on a return to his former club.

Things simply haven't gone to plan for Pogba at club level in recent years and his super-agent Raiola is desperate to end his time at Old Trafford as early as January.

The 53-year-old, who also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Erling Haaland and Matthijs de Ligt, claimed last week that Pogba's United career was over.

In an explosive interview with Tuttosport, who also urged the United board to sell Pogba when the transfer window reopens because his client is unhappy at the club.

Pogba has flirted with the idea of leaving Old Trafford on several occasions but United were not willing to consider a sale.

Now that could be about to change, despite the club triggering an automatic one-year extension in Pogba's contract back in October.

According to Italian journalist Carlo Garganese, Juventus have opened talks with Raiola to re-sign the 27-year-old.

The France international is Juve's top target for 2021 and the Serie A giants have been keen on bringing him back to the club for several years.

The report on the Italian Football Podcast also adds that a deal next summer is more likely but a move in January is still possible.

Raiola opened the door to a sensational return to Juventus last week, telling Tuttosport: "Maybe Juventus could be his next destination. Why not?

"Among other things, the relationship with the club and with his former team-mates is excellent.

"At the time of Covid, not many teams can afford to buy Paul. The important thing is to want it (a deal for Pogba)."

Pogba initially left United to join the Old Lady in the summer of 2012, upon the expiry of his deal under Sir Alex Ferguson.

He won four successive titles during his time with Juventus as well as two Coppa Italias.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici was recently asked about the prospect of re-signing Pogba, telling Mediaset: "Pogba back to Juve? We love Paul, he’s an amazing player but he’s playing for Manchester United now.

"He’ll not be a free agent, you’ve got to pay if you want to sign Pogba. We know so well the value of Paul Pogba. We also know his price, so we will see what happens.”

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Juventus had a swap deal offer for Pogba rejected back in April.

Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Romano revealed that the Italian champions attempted to include Douglas Costa and Miralem Pjanic in a deal for the Frenchman. The approach was rebuffed by United.
