A PREMIER League star has reportedly been accused of "gang rape" at a lockdown party by a woman who says her drink was spiked.

The alleged victim says she went to police after waking up next to the player, with a friend claiming she was not in “any state” to consent to sex, Daily Star Sunday reports.

The footballer has been accused of taking part in a “gang rape” at a rented flat with his friends.

The alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, claims her drink was spiked and that she woke up next to the player.

The woman fears she was assaulted by “a number” of the player’s friends at a party during lockdown.

A friend of the woman says the alleged victim had no memory of events on the night other than having two drinks.

She said the woman was “acting strangely” and that her behaviour on the evening was “out of character”.

WOMAN CLAIMS DRINK WAS SPIKED

The alleged victim says that she woke up next to the football star the following morning with scratches on her legs, and asked him what had happened the previous night.

She claims the player, who was also naked, said that they had sex.

The friend told the Star: “She could barely stand the night before, there is no way she was in any state to consent to sex.”

The woman says she received an anonymous call on the day after the incident from someone who claimed that the player and his friends had spiked her drink at the party.

She says she then went to police and made the rape allegation.

The woman said she was interviewed by detectives and has been examined by forensic medical staff and doctors.

An investigation into the alleged incident has reportedly been launched.

The Daily Star Sunday said police would not comment on whether the player had yet been interviewed.

Last week, in a separate incident, Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was arrested following an incident in his London flat.
