Laporta: I'd love to bring Guardiola back to Barcelona

Joan Laporta has big plans for Barcelona after announcing he will run for the presidency.
Laporta oversaw Pep Guardiola's all-conquering reign at the club and he'd been keen for the Manchester City coach to make a comeback.
"I'd love for Guardiola to return," Laporta said. "But he's at City now and it's a decision he has to make.
"He's an important figure for Barcelona and a lot of Catalans would like him to be coach again.
"When the time is right I'll speak to the person I think should be Barcelona coach from 2021 onwards."
Xavi Hernandez was approached by Barcelona to succeed Ernesto Valverde but despite turning the club down it remains likely that he'll return as coach one day.
"He [Xavi] must decide when the right time is," Laporta explained.
"We have to think that in 2021 there'll still be players who were Xavi's teammates and leading them won't be easy.
"But he is an honest person and knows a lot about football.
"He'll make the right decision and sooner or later he'll end up coaching Barcelona."
