Cristiano Ronaldo And His Agent Are Buying Medical Supplies To Help Portugal With Coronavirus Pandemic

Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes are helping fund Portugal's fight with coronavirus by buying a variety of medical products.

Ronaldo has been back in his homeland since the Serie A season was suspended earlier this month and is has begun the process of helping out.

Spanish publication AS have revealed that Mendes has begun the process of buying medical supplies for Sao Joao hospital in Porto.

Juventus forward Ronaldo is set to join the initiative set up by his agent which also features a variety of other donations.

The super agent intends to buy 50,000 protective masks and will donate them along as well as offer financial support to hospitals all over the country.

It's a humble move from Mendes who represents a variety of top stars in world football.

Some of those other clients include Manchester City's Bernardo Silva as well as Liverpool's Fabinho, Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves and Ronaldo's former Real Madrid teammate Angel Di Maria.

Former Ballon d'Or holder Ronaldo has also taken to social media to share an adorable video of him teaching three of his children to wash their hands properly.

The world of sport has been rocked by the pandemic and it's seen leagues postponed and even Euro 2020 pushed back a year.

But UEFA confused fans by initially claiming the tournament would still be called Euro 2020 even though it was taking place in 2021.

However the governing body took to Twitter on Friday and admitted they had made a mistake.

The decision to move the Euros, means that the Women's Euroswill move to summer 2022, presumably no name had been decided for that either.

That summer is free of international tournaments as the World Cup in Qatar won't be played until the winter.
