Blackpool duo Gary Madine and Ollie Turton will continue to be assessed ahead of Saturday’s League One clash with Sunderland.
Both missed the midweek defeat by Tranmere, Madine with a neck problem and Turton through illness.
Madine was due to return to training on Thursday afternoon or Friday while Turton is back training.
Jak Alnwick (arm) and Sullay Kaikai (groin/abductor) are likely to remain sidelined.
Sunderland boss Phil Parkinson has called for a response from his team after their promotion challenge faltered.
The Black Cats have slipped out of the play-off places after four games without a win, including a 2-0 loss to Bristol Rovers on Tuesday.
Charlie Wyke returned from a back issue for the second half of that game and is among those pushing for a start.
Long-term absentee Bailey Wright remains sidelined by a knee injury.
