Man Utd urged to 'go for Mauricio Pochettino' and axe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Mauricio Pochettino could still replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United

Manchester United need to act decisively and snap up Mauricio Pochettino.

That's according to Chelsea legend Frank Leboeuf, who reckons the Red Devils could still ditch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United appear to have turned a corner under the Norwegian chief.

They battered Manchester City 2-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday to keep their hopes of a top-five finish alive.

Nevertheless, Pochettino remains unemployed having been sacked by Tottenham earlier in the season.

Leboeuf - who was a World Cup winner with France in 1998 - reckons the former Spurs man will still be on Ed Woodward's mind.

"Pochettino, Pochettino, let's go for it," he told ESPN FC.

"If Solskjaer's confirmed [as manager next season] then we don't have to talk about it.

"But I think they're going to change, they want to go to another level, and I think they're going to go for Pochettino."

Solskjaer claimed his side are a work in progress after the City clash - and urged Woodward to back him in the summer transfer market.

"We feel we are improving all the time," he explained.

"We know we lack one, two, three players to be considered a title contender and some experience.

"We are just going to start talking about going up the table, getting more points.

"Chelsea and Leicester are too far ahead for my liking."

United face a reunion with Jose Mourinho when they travel to Tottenham on Sunday.

The Portuguese replaced Pochettino in the Spurs hot seat but hasn't had the desired impact.

The north Londoners looked lacklustre in their 1-1 draw with Burnley last weekend.
