Phil Parkinson ponders change for Sunderland’s match against Gillingham

Sunderland manager Phil Parkinson has no new injury worries for the visit of Gillingham in Sky Bet League One.
Parkinson has also been boosted by midfielder Elliot Embleton’s return to training this week.
Embleton has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since September and has suffered a number of setbacks in his recovery, but is closing in on a return.
Parkinson hinted at making changes to his preferred starting XI with the Black Cats facing three games in eight days before a two-week break.
Gillingham captain Max Ehmer is a doubt for the trip to the Stadium of Light.
Ehmer dislocated his shoulder in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon but will be given every chance to prove his fitness by manager Steve Evans.
Evans received better news on the injury front on Tuesday with Jordan Roberts, Jordan Graham and Ben Pringle coming through a friendly at Stevenage.
The trio are in contention as the sides meet for the fourth time this season.
