ADO Den Haag manager Alan Pardew received some unplanned help this week as an angry set of supporters hijacked his training session in a bid to alter his tactics.

Pardew won his opening game in charge of the Dutch outfit but has since watched his side go winless in four - drawing two and losing two.

It leaves ADO six points shy of safety and four points off 16th placed Zwolle who occupy the relegation play-off spot.

And die hard fans of the club have decided enough is enough and rocked up at training with a flipboard as they looked to tell the squad where they were going wrong.

Around a dozen fans turned up as they look to offer a helping hand and, according to Football Orange, Pardew and his players were prepared to listen without things getting heated.

ADO drew with Heerenveen at the week after losing 3-0 to PSV Eindhoven the week before but the former Crystal Palace and Newcastle boss is adamant his squad are unified in their bid to avoid the drop.

"It is unfortunate and misleading that all this is being said," he told to Tribal Football.

"Since I have been here there has been speculations. About players I have met, but also about problems between Dutch and English players.

"Of course I can only judge what I see and it is totally not true that there are two groups. That the English players are separate from the Dutch players. The English boys have been warmly welcomed.

"We can only get rid of these nonsense stories if we go grab points.

"As a trainer you are often criticised for the way you let your team play, but it has not often happened that I have been dismissed as a 'tactical nonsense'.

"I don't take the criticism personally. I know that, like the players, I am very determined to turn the tide quickly.

"I have been brought in to protect the team from relegation and I am trying to do that. In everything, systems, formations, we try to find the right balance for the team."
