Baudry could be fit to return as Swindon take on Port Vale

Captain Mathieu Baudry could be fit in time for Swindon’s League Two clash with Port Vale.

The centre back has been missing with a knock since Swindon’s 2-0 home loss to Vale on December 29.

Jordan Lyden will miss out through suspension, while Zeki Fryers is still out with a hamstring issue.

Paul Caddis played through a minor hamstring injury at Newport and could be pressed into service again, while new recruit Hallam Hope will be in contention to start up front.

Striker Tom Pope will miss out for Port Vale after receiving a one-match FA ban for improper comments made on Twitter.

Jake Taylor has joined Vale on loan from Nottingham Forest this week but will have a wait on his hands to make his debut.

The midfielder is sidelined with a knee injury but will be on hand at Vale until the end of the season and is expected to be fit in early February.

Cristian Montano will be available for Vale having shaken off a heavy clattering in Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Leyton Orient.
