Emanuel Vignato is being scouted by four big clubs including Chelsea

The youngster made it into the senior team last season, but Verona have since been relegated to Serie B.

According to La Gazzette dello Sport's Nicolo Schira, Chelsea sent a scout to watch Emanuel in action for Verona's 1-1 draw with Salernitana last month.

But if Chelsea are to have any success in a transfer battle for Vignato, they are going to need to ensure their current transfer ban, is lifted.

They are currently banned from signing any new players until the summer of 2020 after breaking FIFA regulations on the signing of minors from abroad.

There may be a chance that the ban is lifted in January.

Given that Chelsea wingers Pedro and Willian's contracts come to an end at the end of the season, Vignato will certainly remain high on their wish-list.

Italy Under 19's international Vignato has made nine appearances across all competitions this season and a total of 362 minutes.

He managed to make 12 appearances for Serie A for Chievo last season and his most memorable moment was scoring a goal against Lazio in a 2-1 win at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lampard is keen on bringing in young players to the squad and it has proved to be a good move.

The pressure on Chelsea because of the current transfer ban is eased somewhat, thanks to the positive impact of the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Abraham has made a sensational start to the Premier League season with eight goals so far.
