Philippe Coutinho can be seen holding his head in his hands after Liverpool’s win over Barcelona last season in a upcoming documentary.

The Brazil international toiled back in May as his former side swashbuckled their way past Barcelona, winning 4-0 to make the Champions League final.

It was a stunning night for all involved, with Barca squandering a 3-0 first leg lead to tumble out of the competition.

And Coutinho’s reaction has now emerged courtesy of a upcoming documentary.

Barcelona veteran Gerard Pique has taken to Twitter to share a trailer for the documentary and, within it, is a clip from the aftermath of the Champions League game.

It shows Coutinho sitting alongside Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic in the Anfield dressing room.

And the Brazil international looks devastated, holding his head in his hands while his team-mates sit in silence.

Coutinho has since left Barcelona for Bayern Munich on a two-year loan deal and is shining over at the Allianz Arena.

He could, however, have ended up at Tottenham had Mauricio Pochettino managed to persuade him into a Premier League return.

And, speaking after Coutinho dazzled for Bayern Munich against Spurs in the Champions League in midweek, Peter Crouch expressed his disappointment that a deal didn’t take place.

“He would have been perfect, especially with what is going on with Eriksen at the moment, he’s a readymade replacement,” he said on BT Sport.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp helped convince Coutinho into swapping Barcelona for Bayern this summer.

“Amazing player, we really didn’t want to let him go,” he said.

“Barca forced us financially.

“World class player, really good transfer for Bayern and the Bundesliga. I thought it was a good fit for both when I first heard about it.

“It may sound strange, but we didn’t have enough money to get him. We’d already spent all the money we got for him.

“I have already told him in person that he and Bayern will be a good fit.

“It’s not so good for Dortmund, I hope Dortmund will win the title again because it’s getting boring with Bayern winning every year. But Dortmund have an amazing team.

“Other teams like Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig are also interesting teams and a lot can happen.”
