Pochettino on Eriksen exit
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino did not give much away when asked if Christian Eriksen had played his last game for the club.
“I don't know,” Pochettino responded. “I don't know. Why you ask me? Maybe you know something.
“It's so difficult, the situation. We cannot blame one party or another. That is the situation, the circumstances.
“We arrive today with different players and different situations in the squad but I don't want to justify our performance because of that.
“I want to make clear the point. When you play football and are on the pitch you don't think about these situations.”
Neymar development
Neymar could feasibly stay at Paris Saint-Germain for one more season after developments in his relationship with the club hierarchy.
The forward wants to leave Parc des Princes after just two seasons in the French capital.
PSG broke the world transfer record on Neymar in August 2017 when they paid Barcelona £198million for his services.
It is believed he wants to rejoin Barcelona and members of Ernesto Valverde’s squad would welcome back the 27-year-old.
But according to French media outlet Telefoot, Neymar could now be heading towards an agreement to stay put for one more season at PSG.

Barcelona have tabled a fresh bid for PSG ace Neymar.
The Spanish giants are battling with Real Madrid to land the Brazil international this summer.
Barcelona have been locked in talks with PSG over the forward for weeks.
And according to French outlet Telefoot, Barcelona have tabled a fresh bid for Neymar.
They say Barcelona’s offer includes ‘more money and more players’.
Barcelona ace Ousmane Dembele, who has been heavily linked with a move to PSG, is included in their latest offer.

How Neymar to Barcelona could affect Tottenham
Paris Saint-Germain are putting plans in place to sign Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha should they sell Neymar to Barcelona and it could affect Christian Eriksen’s future.
The Mirror say PSG would try and sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus as well as going after Zaha.
That could be bad news for Tottenham, who themselves were linked with a move for Dybala in the summer.
If Dybala is to leave Juventus, it is said the Serie A giants will look to replace the forward with Eriksen.

They are seeking him to state his intentions of returning to Catalonia, so they can go all out to sign him.

It’s also believed this would encourage PSG to sanction his exit as they’re quietly confident of keeping him, as it stands.

Reports this week claimed Neymar would be reintegrated back into the PSG squad for the clash with Toulouse.
But according to AS, he has been left out again ahead of transfer speculation.
The report claims the relationship between the player and club is still damaged.
PSG are quietly optimistic that the Brazilian will stay beyond the deadline, but this looks as it will be dent in those hopes.

“There are no imminent trips to Paris planned [either].”
