MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Paul Pogba's summer transfer saga is far from over and Mino Raiola insists a move to Real Madrid remains a possibility.

Paul Pogba went public early in June to tease a desire to leave Old Trafford and told reports while out in Japan at an Adidas promotional event that it might be the right time for a new challenge.

His agent Raiola has since affirmed those comments, claiming that “everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on” and insisting: “We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are. Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul's wishes."

Real Madrid and former club Juventus have both been linked with the France international with Manchester United having reportedly upped their demands for the player from £150million to at least £180m as they seek to play hard ball.

Although Pogba wants out, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still views the 26-year-old as key to his plans as one of the few players in his United squad who can be categorised as world class.

The Norwegian coach has lauded Pogba’s personality and playing ability in recent days as he looks to convince the World Cup winner that he can achieve his ambitions with the Red Devils.

And with just three weeks remaining before the Premier League transfer window closes on August 8, it has been suggested Pogba’s chances of securing a big-money move to Spain or Italy are remote given the limited time United would have to source a replacement.

But worryingly for Solskjaer, Raiola insists despite that, Pogba’s summer transfer saga is not over.

"The end is not written," the Italian-born Dutchman said in Turin, as quoted by Spanish outlet Marca.

"There is nothing closed yet. Stay in Manchester? I live my life day by day, we will see what happens.

“The end of this story is not written. Today we are here, tomorrow we do not know."

Pogba is currently out in Australia with the United first-team and was sublime as they beat Leeds United 4-0 in a friendly in Perth earlier today, producing a commanding display in a routine win against the club’s long-time foes.

Speaking yesterday, Solskjaer insists United have received no formal offers for Pogba despite Zinedine Zidane reportedly being keen to take him to the Bernabeu this summer.

“I’ve got to be careful - I can’t dive into all this and hypothetical questions and all that. But we’ve not had offers.

“I can say the same about whichever player. If we don’t get an offer for a player we would have to pay them out for them not to be here, don’t we, so we haven’t had offers.

“I’ve not been upset by anything he’s said because we’ve had many conversations and I know exactly what Paul is thinking. I can give him a new challenge.

“I’ve said many times about Paul that he’s a top, top boy and a great player and he’s never, ever been a problem.

“When we get him playing as he did when I came in, and if we get him playing like that again, he will even win you lot [the media] over as well."
