Salford return to top of National League table with victory over Maidenhead

Salford continued their push for the National League title with a decisive 3-0 victory over Maidenhead at Moor Lane.
Emmanuel Dieseruvwe opened the scoring for the hosts in the 10th minute.
Additional strikes from Ibou Touray and Adam Rooney, who scored from the spot, established a comfortable 3-0 interval lead but Salford were unable to add to the scoreline in the second half.
Maidenhead showed resilience after the break but the home side lacked the urgency they displayed earlier in the game.
Co-owner Gary Neville was present to watch a win that sends Salford top and keeps them scrapping with nearest challengers Leyton Orient for first place.
