Chelsea loanee Gonzalo Higuain could return to Juventus should the English club decide against acquiring his services for next season.
The Argentine was sent to AC Milan on loan following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer of 2018, before a January switch to Chelsea on another loan deal.
Although the Blues could extend his loan until 2020 for an 18 million euro fee or sign him permanently for 40m euros, the club seem unwilling to retain him in their squad.
The 31-year-old striker rejoined forces with his former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri back in January, but has netted just three goals in all competitions.
His future is very uncertain as a result and a return to Juventus cannot be ruled out, even if it would be awkward.
